In March 2015 the first listing of TAURON bonds on the Catalyst market took place, with a total nominal value of PLN 1.75 billion.

In April 201 TAURON, PGE, ENEA and KGHM concluded an agreement for the purchase of shares in PGE EJ1 – a special-purpose vehicle responsible for the preparation and execution of an investment consisting in the construction and operation of the first Polish nuclear power plant with a capacity of approximately 3 GW.

In November 2015, agreements between the Company and selected banks concerning the bond issue programme with a total value of PLN 6.27 billion were signed. The value of the programme is one of the highest recorded so far on the domestic banking market in a one-off operation.

In December 2015 the agreement for the purchase of a designated part of the mine in Brzeszcze, as an organised part of an enterprise, was concluded. Spółka Restrukturyzacji Kopalń (Coal Mine Restructuring Company) was the seller.

In 2014 the agreement with the Rafako-Mostostal Warszawa consortium was signed for the construction of a coal-fired unit with a capacity of 910 MW at Elektrownia Jaworzno III.

In order to acquire funds to implement its investment programme the Group issued bonds worth PLN 1.75 billion and EUR 168 million.

In 2014 TAURON concluded an agreement with PGE, KGHM Polska Miedź and ENEA for the execution of a joint venture to build the first Polish nuclear power plant with a capacity of approximately 3 GW.

In 2013 wind farms in Marszewo (82 MW) and Wicko (40 MW) were commissioned as was a co-generation unit at ZEC Bielsko-Biała with a capacity of 50 MWe/106 MWt and biomass-burning units at Elektrownia Jaworzno III (50 MW), Zakład Wytwarzania Tychy (40 MW) and Elektrownia Stalowa Wola (20 MW).

In September 2012 the Company signed a letter of intent with PGE, KGHM Polska Miedź and ENEA concerning the construction and operation of the first Polish nuclear power plant.

In September 2011 r. TAURON Ekoenergia acquired Lipniki, including a wind farm with a total capacity of 30.75 MW. It was the TAURON Group’s first wind farm.

In 20122, the Group’s core business was reorganised whereby the following companies were established: TAURON Sprzedaż, TAURON Obsługa Klienta, TAURON Wytwarzanie, TAURON Dystrybucja and TAURON Ciepło.

In December 2011 TAURON Polska Energia acquired a 99.98% stake in Górnośląski Zakład Elektroenergetyczny from Vattenfall. This acquisition strengthened the Group’s leading position in electricity distribution and sales in Poland.

On 30 June 2010, as a consequence of a public offering of the State Treasury’s shares, TAURON Polska Energia was floated on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

In July 2009, in exchange for an in-kind contribution in the form of new issue shares, TAURON Polska Energia acquired a majority equity stake in Przedsiębiorstwo Energetyki Cieplnej in Dąbrowa Górnicza and a majority equity stake in Elektrociepłownia EC Nowa from the State Treasury.

On 8 January 2007, Energetyka Południe was registered in the National Court Register. On 16 November 2007 the changed name of TAURON Polska Energia was registered.

In  2007 the State Treasury contributed majority equity stakes in Południowy Koncern Energetyczny, Enion, EnergiaPro, Elektrownia Stalowa Wola, Elektrociepłownia Tychy and Przedsiębiorstwo Energetyki Cieplnej Katowice to Energetyka Południe.

On 6 December 2006 Energetyka Południe was established. The founders included the State Treasury, EnergiaPro, Enion and Elektrownia Stalowa Wola.
